Not two weeks into 2024 and already we have some of the worse news of the year. According to his family, Gonzalo Lira has died in the Uke hard labor camp where he was being held as a prisoner of conscience. Just last week, his father had been on The Duran explaining that his son's health was declining due to pneumonia.
Tucker on Xitter: “Gonzalo Lira, Sr. says his son has died at 55 in a Ukrainian prison, where he was being held for the crime of criticizing the Zelensky and Biden governments. Gonzalo Lira was an American citizen, but the Biden administration clearly supported his imprisonment and torture.”
Regular Brickhouse readers know the Dispatch has been harping about Lira ever since he was arrested by the Uke secret police. He came on the Brickhouse radar with his commentaries on the war from Karkhov, where he was living at the time. The way he chatted, with his coffee, smokes, humor and acute geopolitical insight, made him feel like an old friend. At a time when one cannot talk about real life to 99 percent of the people that surround one, Lira was a breath of fresh air.
In the last video he made before his final arrest, he predicted that if he did not make it over the border to Hungary, he would die in a hard labor camp. We had hoped he would be proven wrong. He probably hoped that too.
Lira's father wrote: “I cannot accept the way my son has died. He was tortured, extorted, incommunicado for 8 months and 11 days and the US Embassy did nothing to help my son. The responsibility of this tragedy is the dictator Zelensky with the concurrence of a senile American President, Joe Biden.”
Damn the criminal US government that let him waste to death in a foreign prison, when all it would have taken was ONE SINGLE CALL to have him set free. May the US and Uke regimes be erased and burn in hell.
His 10-year-old daughter and 7-y.o. son will never see their father again except on the videos he left behind as Coach Red Pill and from his time in Ukraine. Gonzalo has paid the ultimate price for speaking out. He cannot be imprisoned or tortured any more. Keep his memory alive. That's all we have left of him now.
Here's a heartfelt eulogy from Willyalfredo on Bitchute; the Dispatch shares his feeling.
Dispatch out.
Breaks my heart. I've been following him for years. This is how the Biden admin feels about free speech.
